MADHOUSE is truly a unique game; a top-down shooter adventure-RPG with a comical horror theme. With iconic, retro-stylized graphics to give the game an 'old school' feeling, this game plays like no other. Featuring a medley of colorful and original characters, all possessing individual weapons, stats, and special abilities, MADHOUSE gives players the opportunity to play as a vengeful zombie, a gasmask wearing amnesiac mercenary, a deranged sociopath dressed as a clown, or a mysterious little man shrouded in rags... And that's not even mentioning the twelve other playable characters that are waiting to be unlocked!
Be warned, though, MADHOUSE is not a game for the faint of heart! Although the graphics give the SD style characters the appearance of being 'cute' or 'lovable', the story is quite serious, and the game play itself is vicious and intense! Guns, bombs, chainsaws, flamethrowers, and various melee weapons are the standard for killing anything that stands in the way! There is blood, but don't be scared; as violent as it sounds, it's all done in good taste with plenty of lighthearted fun!
